Many search engines cannot read frames pages, and will not index your site as a result.

Search engines place a very high value on words withing the title and accordingly this affects your page rankings within the search engine results. In many cases, the actual location of your keyword is to the beginning of the title, and the percentage of the entire title the keyword occupies may also boost your position.

Since most search engines use your title when listing your site, it is important that you have a meaningful title for your page, when people see your listing on a search engine, they will be more likely to understand what your website is about.

The search engines are beginning to weight, more heavily, the content of the index (or home) page. While still favoring the page title and description, this is a move away from the traditional heavier weighting of meta tags. Keywords are still important but more so in context with the content.

• We suggest the frameless home page have somewhere between 380-570 words

• Within the body text, 3-7% of all words should be your focus keywords. Excessive use of keywords will be interpreted by the search engines as spam

• Place your keyword focus at the top of your page

• Put your keywords as close together as possible, while retaining sentence clarity
